This beautiful piece was written by Keiko, a member of the Japanse ensemble “Vanilla Mood”. I don’t know much about this ensemble, but I am glad that this kind of music in the classical tradition is still composed today. Interestingly, a lot of it seems to come out of Japan, and out of movie scores. Maybe movie scores are the last refuge of Romanticism in this anti-romantic age; and perhaps it is the place whence Romanticism one day will return to reclaim its rightful glory.

I enjoyed this piece
Do you know if this was written for a particular movie?

I don’t believe it was written for any movie at all. I was just getting a little more general in my comments because I noticed that a lot of modern rather classical music can be found in movie scores, in Hollywood as well as in Japanese anime.
